Oh yeah, I remember those old mini bikes from the catalog. Almost within reach as a kid. Many a dream of those bikes. One of my neighbors got one. His pop was kind enough to take a few of us out with it. I took an extra few minutes on it and got in trouble because his pops got worried about me... I ruined it for the rest of us... I guess even back then I lost all sense of time - just me and the bike... |

I was talking to an old buddy of mine the other day about this subject. We went to grade school together. I usually let him ride my stuff when he asked... He told me - I was the reason he started riding. He said we always had a blast doing stuff together, and after all the times I spoke about getting a bike he decided to get one too. I thought that was pretty cool. |

Now this is a cool thread. My earliest memory was is Wisconsin. It started around kindergarten. Now this was a small town, back in the early sixties and a different time. Anyway I would walk home from school every day with a friend of mine. The way home would take us past the town High-school. Now of course being in kindergarten it was only a half day for us so it was around lunch time for the High-schoolers when we came by. There was a group of kids in that school and they all road Sportsers, (at least I'm pretty sure they were Sportsers one thing I do vividly remember that the bikes were Harley's because my friend pointed it out because his father road a Harley) and the kids wore black leather jackets. They would come roaring out of the parking Every day when we walked by. I always would say to my friend when I would see that sight "some day I'm going to ride a motorcycle just like them" Just one of those memories that has stuck with me. |

After watching the HD mini series, my memory got a jog - I remembered getting a ride on one of the 3 wheel HD's from a police officer my pop knew. Probably added to the reasons I ride. |
